On August, 18,2020, the Vietnam National Museum of History will organize The opening ceremony of the special exhibition “Independence day-2nd of September” at No.25, Tong Dan, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. This event aims to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day, September 2 (1945-2020).

 

The exhibition  will present  over 150 original artifacts, photos, documents  with 2 parts:

Part 1: Strength of the National

The artifacts, photos, documents typical include: Quotes, introductions, weapons collection,flags collection v.v represent the leader ship of the Party and leader Ho Chi Minh, under the VietMinh Front, all forces and classes did not distinguish ethic groups, religion, political, parties, class; the entire Vietnamese people uprose seized the of the August Revolution successfully.   

Part 2: Independence day-2nd of September

This part introduces artifacts, photos, documents  for the event on 1945, 2nd of September and the birth of the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam with typical artifacts, photos, documents: The ceremony of Independence Day at the Ba Dinh square, National flag, National anthem, Constitution, collection of monies of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (Banknotes with photo of Uncle Ho); stamps collection…

The Exhibition also introduce  the stories and memories of historical witnesses for the The Independence day-2nd of September.

Through this Exhibition, the VNMH  desires to help the public, especially the younger generation to better understand the historical landmark of the August Revolution 1945, the strength of the national solidarity the value of independence, freedom… to contribute to the cause of national construction, protection of independence sovereignty and territorial integrity. 

This exhibition will open from August, 18,2020 until the end of December 2020.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.
