Bảo tàng lịch sử Quốc gia

Vietnam National Museum of History

This section includes the first traces of human beings [including teeth of hominids (Homo erectus, Homo sapiens, Home sapiens sapiens)] and fossilized animal skeletons discovered in rock-shelters in provinces of Lang Son, Yen Bai, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh and Nghe An. Various tools have also been found in rock-shelters, such as hand-axes in Nui Do (Thanh Hoa), pebble tools in Doi Thong (Ha Giang) and Son Vi (Phu Tho), and flakes tools in Mai da Nguom (Thai Nguyen). They reflect Vietnam as one of the places where human life and activities appeared in this early time period.
