Lam Son was hometown of heroin Le Loi or King Le Thai To who defeated Ming Empire at early 15th century. At his reign, many tempers, memorials and mausoleums were constructed to make Lam Kinh - Lam Son to be the second citadel in the country. At present, Lam Kinh is a national historical relic in Thanh Hoa province.

The book "Lam Kinh discovery from earth" of author PhD. Nguyen Van Doan, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History was formed from his doctoral thesis but also contained new information and discoveries over Lam Kinh relic.

The book has 3 parts:

- Introduced natural geography of Lam Son - Lam Kinh region and Thanh Hoa province and the process of forming and building Lam Kinh citadel.

- This is the main part. It presented researches and studies about Lam Kinh citadel of foreigners and Vietnam since 1954 up to now. Besides, explaining relic structure, objects, date and the development and existing process of Lam Kinh center in the history.

- Lam Kinh in the relic sequence of the Later Le dynasty.

It's in Vietnamese but has some briefs in English, together with pictures and drawings.

The book is available at the Library of the Vietnam National Museum of History - 25 Tong Dan, Hanoi.
