Nguyen Trai - a national hero, world cultural celebrity (1380 - 1442)

Nguyễn Trãi, also known under his style name Ức Trai (1380–1442) was from Chi Ngại village, Phượng Sơn district, Lạng Giang (now Chí Linh, Hải Dương Province). His father was Nguyễn Ứng Long (Nguyễn Phi Khanh), a Confucian scholar and mother Trần Thị Thái, daughter of high ranking mandarin Trần Nguyên Đán of Tran dynasty.

Celebrating the International Women’s Day (8-3): Remember the Heroine Le Thi Rieng and her keepsakes

The Heroine and Martyr Le Thi Rieng was born in 1925 in Vinh My commune, Gia Rai district, Bac Lieu province. In 1940, she joined as a revolutionary activist and in the autumn of 1945, she joined as the first Cuu quoc (National salvation) women team in Bac Lieu. Then, she was dispatched to Phuoc Long province where she was admitted to the Vietnamese Communist Party.
