FARGO – The Fargo Air Museum will be displaying a rare collection of flying warbird planes starting Monday, according to Executive Director Fran Brummond.
A Japanese Zero model, one of only two such planes in the world that’s flyable, arrived in Fargo on Sunday, and the rest of the warbirds will be flying into town on Monday, Brummond said.
The planes belong to the Texas Flying Legends Museum, and travel the country to museums such as Fargo’s for educational purposes.
“We have never had such a collection of such flying warbirds,” Brummond said. “It truly is living history. It’s very exciting.”
The Fargo Air Museum, located at 1609 19th Ave. N., is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Call (701) 293-8043 for more information.
