A delegation from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, led by Mr. Zhao Yong Tao, the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Finance, visited the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) on November 11, 2025. The visit was part of the activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic relations (1950 - 2025) and aimed to strengthen friendship between the two nations.

During the reception, Ms. Nguyen Thị Thu Hoan, the Deputy Director of the VNMH warmly welcomed the visiting Chinese delegation and highlighted that the cultural similarities between Vietnam and China offer favorable conditions to enhance museum cooperation and cultural exchange.
She mentioned that the Museum is collaborating with Chinese cultural institutions on professional exchanges, archaeological research, exhibitions, and staff training. She expressed hope that this visit would foster mutual understanding, create new opportunities for collaboration, support the promotion of cultural heritage, and strengthen friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China.
During the visit, the Chinese delegation was introduced to the museum’s significant collections, which reflect Vietnam’s long history and cultural uniqueness. Highlights include Dong Son treasures like the Ngoc Lu and Hoang Ha bronze drums, the Dao Thinh jar, and the Viet Khe burial boat, along with artifacts from later dynasties, that showcase the country’s history and cultural achievements.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Zhao Yong Tao expressed his deep impression of the Museum’s exhibitions and collections. He noted that the visit provided the delegation with a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s history, culture, and people, while createing new opportunities for cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries.
