On the morning of October 29, 2025, at the National Museum of History (VNMH), the Faculty of Cultural Heritage - Hanoi University of Culture held the Welcome Ceremony for the freshmen of the 66th Class. The event took place in a warm and solemn atmosphere.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan - Deputy Director of the VNMH; Dr. Tran Duc Nguyen - Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Heritage and the freshmen of the 66th Class.

The ceremony featured several meaningful activities, including a guided tour of the Museum’s exhibitions, art performances, an introduction to the traditions of the Faculty of Cultural Heritage, speeches from representatives of the Museum and the freshmen, and an award ceremony honoring excellent and hardworking students.

In his speech, Dr. Tran Duc Nguyen extended a warm welcome to the freshmen and expressed gratitude to them and their families for choosing the Faculty as the beginning of their academic and professional journey. He shared that the Faculty of Cultural Heritage, originally known as the Faculty of Museology, was established in 1959 as one of the first four faculties of Hanoi University of Culture. Over the past 66 years, it has trained many generations of professionals, lecturers, and experts in the field of cultural heritage of Vietnam.

Dr. Tran Duc Nguyen also emphasized the crucial role of cultural heritage in the nation’s developmentand encouraged freshemen to pursue their passion, enhance their skills, and incorporate technology and foreign languages into their research. He urged them to become the next generation committed to preserving and promoting Vietnam’s cultural heritage.

At the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan, the Deputy Director of the VNMH, expressed her pleasure in meeting lecturers and welcoming freshmen. She appreciated the meaningful choice to hold the event at the Museum, a place that helps students feel more connected to their future field of study and work.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan encouraged students to strengthen not only their knowledge of history and culture but also their soft skills, language proficiency, computer skills, and practical experience - essential elements for truly understanding and fostering creativity in the field of cultural heritage. She assured the students that the VNMH would continue to support them in their studies, research, and practical activities. In closing, she congratulated both the lecturers and freshmen, encouraging them to study hard, follow their passion, and contribute to the preservation and promotion of Vietnam’s cultural heritage.
After the ceremony, the freshmen visited the exhibition “Popular Education – Lighting Up the Future” at the VNMH. This exhibition provides them with insights into the importance of knowledge, culture, and education in the nation’s history.
