On the morning of July 16, 2024, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) host a reception for the delegation of Pakistani Embassy in Vietnam, headed by H.E Ambassador Kohdayar Marri. The meeting was also attended by Heads of the Department of Communication and International Relations and the Department of Objects Management.
Mr. Kohdayar Marri visited and worked at the VNMH as the new Ambassador of Pakistan to Vietnam. Based on the cooperation program between the VNMH and cultural institutions of Pakistan that was proposed under the previous Ambassador (Ms. Samina Mehtab) in 2022, on this occasion, Mr. Kohdayar Marri wishes to further promote the cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the VNMH and Directorate of Archaeology and Museums of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

At the meeting, Director Nguyen Van Doan highly appreciated the attention and support from the Embassy of Pakistan. Responding to this proposal, the representative of VNMH also hopes that the two sides will discuss to draft a MOU in the fields of cultural heritage, especially archaeological research and publication, to submit to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for approval before signing. At the same time, the Vietnamese side also believes that with the Ambassador's attention, the cultural cooperation programs of the two countries will achieve significant results in the future.
