This is an activity within the framework of a cooperation project on: Surveying and researching traditional boats of Vietnamese ethnic groups between the National Research Institue of Maritime Cultural Heritage of Korea and the Vietnam National Museum of History, period 2020-2025. Through previous surveys in Central Vietnam, some types of traditional boats made from special materials of the ethnic groups in this area were discovered. The research results show the diversity of traditional Vietnamese boats. Therefore, Korean experts look forward to continuing to cooperate with the VNMH to  to successfully complete this project as well as develop a long-term and sustainable partnership.
At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan highly appreciated the cooperation of the two sides over the past time. Despite difficulties and limitations in investing funds for research, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan hopes that the two sides continue to support each other in researching and preserving the cultural heritage values of each country.
At the end of the working program in Hanoi, the Korean experts and professional officers of VNMH will conduct a survey of traditional boats of the Muong, Thai, H’mong peoples in Da Bac, Cao Phong, Kim Boi, Lac Son districts, Hoa Binh province.
