The exhibition introduces more than 200 documents, photos and objects expressing the daily life and the fighting spirit of Hanoi’s army and people in 12 days and nights when the capital of Hanoi was fiercely bombarded by the US Air Force at the end of 1972. The exhibition conveys not only historical events but also experience, emotions and historical memories with straw hats or shelters to help the public, especially the young generation understand more about the life and resilient struggles of Hanoians in this campaign.
This was a victory gained by blood, sacrifice, fighting spirit, gallantry in combat and adept strategies of our Party and military. The exhibition also mentions the stories of the museum staffs who kept collecting the objects related to the resistance war during the difficult circumstances of the battle, and thanks to that, we have these objects on display today.
