The event of fully reopening international tourism activities from mid-March 2022 is considered as a memorable milestone in the development of Vietnam's tourism industry. Each tourist destination contributes to bringing new expectations about tourism in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Vietnam National Museum of History is brightened up with velvet red silk-cotton flowers - a typical spring flower that blooms in Vietnam every March. The old silk-cotton tree stands alongside a nostalgic yellow Indochinese-style architectural building named "Bac Co”. They seem to be subtly arranged to recall the image of the Vietnamese village.
In March, at the Vietnam National Museum of History, within an hour, visitors will have an experienced tour to go through the space of “Village in the City” right in the heart of Hanoi, with the images of a village gate, a drink stall, a bamboo carrying pole, a bamboo swing and so on, arranged around the ancient silk-cotton tree. In particular, visitors also have a chance to experience a lot of interesting folk games.
In addition, visitors are also inspired by the unique cultural features associated with daily life in the countryside of Vietnam through treasures being kept at the museum, such as the Ngoc Lu Bronze Drum, the Bell of Van Ban Pagoda, the Stone Incense Burner of Tu Ky Pagoda or the Old Stone Bridge, etc.
The Vietnam National Museum of History in collaboration with Hanoitourist Corporation launched the tour "Bac Co in The Silk-Cotton Flower Season " from March 15, 2022 with the ticket price reduced by 50% in March:
