The Vietnam National Museum of History is temporarily closed the permanent exhibition at 216 Tran Quang Khai Str, for renovations.
 
From November 12, 2021 to mid-February, 2022.
 
 
The permanent exhibitionn at 1 Trang Tien will be open on its regular schedule.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

On the afternoon of November 5, 2021, the delegation of French School of the Far East (EFEO), headed by Dr. Philippe Le Failler - Chief Representative of EFEO in Hanoi had a meeting with Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) and professional staff of Library and Documentation Department.
