On the afternoon of November 4, 2021, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) hosts a reception for the delegation of Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, headed by Mr. Furudate Seiki - the First Secretary of Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. Participants of the meeting also included Mr. Shimizu Koji - Representative of the JICA Vietnam Office, senior and professional officials of the Parties.

Within the frame of the Japanese Government’s Non-refundable Grant Aid on Cultural Heritage FY 2021, the Vietnam National Museum of History is one of the constitutions that has been proposed for preservation equipment to serve the professional purposes.

Based on the application and equipment list proposed by experts from the Preservation Division of VNMH, representatives of the Japanese Embassy and JICA Vietnam Office discussed in detail the issues related to the contents of the proposal, and at the same time, conducted a laboratory survey and confirmed the current state of the facilities of VNMH.

The Vietnam National Museum of History would like to be supported some specialized equipment for the purpose of analyzing and assessing the condition of documents and objects accurately. It’s very important stage to well understand the objects, thereby, the best preservation methods can be determined.
The museum is also committed to focusing on professional training and improving skills for technicians in operating modern equipment.
This program has contributed to strengthen the effective cooperation between the two countries and for the common development of the Vietnam National Museum of History.
