The Vietnam National Museum of History temporarily stops welcoming visitors and strengthens measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic

Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, following the Official Dispatch No.15/CĐ on July 18^th 2021 of the Hanoi People’s Committee and the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as the guidance of Ministry of Health on strengthening the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic; in order to help prevent the spread of the epidemic and ensure the health and safety of our staffs and visitors:

The Vietnam National History Museum would like to announce to stop welcoming visitors to the museum’s display system from July 20^th 2021 until further notice.

The museum also requires all staffs to continue strengthening measures to prevent and control the epidemic; complete a full and honest health declaration to ensure safety for individuals and the community.

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

At the same time, there is a rising demand in visiting and learning about museums and monuments. So, how do you meet the public's needs while also maintaining the museum's activities? That is the current difficulty and challenge for nearly 170 museums(1) across the country.
