On the morning of March 12, 2021, the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between Vietnam National Museum of History (VNMH) and Hanoi Travel Association - Vgreen Sustainable Tourism Club was successfully held at the VNMH. At the same time, the first tour of the cooperation program also started in the type/form of self-driving car themed “VGREEN CARAVAN in Tay Bac (the Northwest region of Vietnam) - Ban flowers (Bauhinia variegata) blooming season”.
Participants of the ceremony included Mr. Vu The Binh - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Travel Association; Mr. Phung Quang Thang - Chairman of Hanoi Hanoi Travel Association, Chairman of Vgreen Sustainable Tourism Club; Mr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of Vietnam National Museum of History; Leaders of Hanoi and Phu Tho Tourism Department; travel agencies, visitors and news agencies.

The cooperation program aims to promote the advantages of each side in organizing effective tourism activities; building a good relationship between VNMH and travel agencies to attract domestic and international tourists to the museum; coordinating in the implementation and provision of tourism services; connecting with other localities as well as spreading historical and cultural values to tourists and local people to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism products.
The two sides agreed to cooperate in implementing a number of main contents such as building and developing different tourism products for tourist and museum visitors, organizing tourism programs with the combination of Vietnam National Museum of History with other destinations, training human resources on developing tourism products and tour guides.
Accordingly, VNMH is coordinating with travel agencies to build tours that connect with museum programs, consult the contents related to the museum field ensuring the most reasonable and effective connection for the destinations in the tour program, organize tourism programs at VNMH, coordinate training of museum staff on cooperative tourism products as well as tour guides and on-site guides on specialized content, advertising and providing services for tourists.

On the same morning, the first tour themed “VGREEN CARAVAN in Tay Bac (the Northwest region of Vietnam) - Ban flowers (Bauhinia variegata) blooming season” departed from VNMH to other places: Ngoc Chien - Mu Cang Chai - Tam Duong - Lai Chau - Dien Bien - Quynh Nhai - Son La - Hoa Binh. In particular, tourists will travel back in time through experience activities of the prehistoric man’s life at Xom Trai cave (Hoa Binh province) - one of the most important and typical sites of Hoa Binh culture - the culture is not only famous in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia. Besides, the tour also provides visitors a chance to go through activity of transporting food into the battlefield (during the Dien Bien Phu campaign) at Pha Din pass (Dien Bien province).

Developing historical and cultural tourism products combined with the type/form of self-driving cars is a reasonable choice in the context of COVID-19 pandemic. In which, VNMH brings visitors an overview of historical progress that connect more meaningfully with other destinations of the tour.
