On August 18, 2020, the opening ceremony of the Special Exhibition “Independence day-2nd of September” took place at the Viet Nam National Museum of History at No.25, Tong Dan, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Duong Trung Quoc - National Assembly’s member, General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences; Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director of Cultural Heritage Department; Mr. Ma The Anh - Deputy Director, Manager of the Department of Fine Arts, Exhibition Photography; Associate Prof. Dr. Do Van Tru - General Secretary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association; Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong- General Secretary of Vietnam Association of Archaeologycal; representatives of Vietnam Final Arts; Ho Chi Minh’s Vestigate in the Presidential Palace Area; Ho Chi Minh Museum; Vietnam Military History Museum, Dr. Nguyen Van Doan - Director of the National Museum of History; dedicators who were donated artifacts to the VNMH; retired officials, together with all officers of the VNMH and the press agencies.

With over 150 artifacts, photos, documents, The exhibition present to the public 2 parts: Strength of the National and Independence day-2nd of September with many typical artifacts and documents such as: Resolution, Instrument of the Party Central Committee, Collection of newspapers; collection of leaflets; collection of wweapons; National flag, National Anthem, Artifacts collection contributed by Vietnamese people for purchase in August Revolution; artifacts and documents to show Independence day-2nd of September at Ba Dinh square and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; artifacts, photos, documents for the ceremony of Independence day-2nd of September at the Ba Dinh square and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
Among the exhibits, there were many valuable documents and objects such as: Revolution of the 8th Central Congress the communist Party of Indochine, May, 1941; Directire “Japanese and French at war and our action” of the standing committee of the communist Party of Indochine, March 13, 1945; Coins collection contributed by Vietnamese people for purchase of weapon to prepare for general Uprising in 1945; Declaration of Independence was drafted and read by President Ho Chi Minh at Ba Dinh square, Ha Noi on September 2nd, 1945; The song of the marching troops - National Anthem of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was composed by Van Cao Musician in 1944 (manuscript signed by Van Cao Musician, he donated to the Vietnam Revolution Museum (the VNMH); Collection of monies of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam-Banknote with photo of Uncle Ho; Micro used by President Ho Chi Minh to read the Declaration of Independence on September 2nd, 1945; the stories and memories of historical witnesses for the The Independence day-2nd of September.
