The VNMH preserves the cultural, historical, and spiritual values of the nation. This is also a place where international friends, from high-ranking leaders and politicians to international businessmen, investors, and tourists go to visit and learn about culture, history, people, and the country of Vietnam.

The Prime Minister expressed that there is no other place that brings many emotions and divine pride to the national cultural and historical roots as this museum. “On the way to VNMH, I seemed to go against the national history. Not far from here is a place that marked the victory of our father against foreign invasion - Dong Bo Dau with the remnants of Hoe Nhai Pagoda. Here is trace of the French within this building that has a style of Asian art and architecture.” The Prime Minister also shared: “We need to note that the museum is not only a place to store historical values, national pride, but also the factors of beauty, attractiveness, and identity of the city.”

The Prime Minister continued by saying, "By the way, I also want to ask why is history not an attractive subject for our pupils and students? If we do not change this reality, how can we foster national spirit and consciousness; and if we cannot change this reality, it’s difficult to encourage and attract Vietnamese young talents and elite from all over the world to come back, contribute, and serve the nation.”

“We need to be aware of the importance of building the connection between the present generation and future generations with the origin, the history, the culture, and the pride of the nation. This also has important implications to promote national power in all aspects: economic, cultural, and social fields.”

“That is also the reason why there were many leaders of many ministries, branches, and cities, along with many delegates of important sectors who accompanied the Prime Minister today. Because we want our students to love history. We must be responsible for making history classes more attractive. That is the first thing to do. This is not the unilateral responsibility of the education sector, the Ministry of Education and Training. It is the responsibility of all of us, of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Information and Communications, Hanoi City, the film industry and our own Museum.”

“We affirm this thing at VNMH which holds the sacred values, the feats, and extraordinary exploits of our people for thousands of years. ”
