At the meeting, Ms. Park Hyejun thanked VNMH for receiving the delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and exchanged the purpose of this visit. In order to promote cultural understanding for Koreans, Korea's President Moon Jae-in has instructed the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to implement a project on installation of Autoguide system in Korean language at some big museums in the world. Realizing that the VNMH is one of the leading museums in Vietnam which is storing abundant and diversified collections and attracting large numbers of visitors every year, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea desires to cooperate with VNMH to implement the project on installation of the Audioguide system in Korean language at the VNMH to serve visitors. Through this meeting, the Korea Museum of Ethnology also expressed the desire to cooperate with VNMH in many fields, especially research, exhibition, and publication.

On behalf of VNMH, Dr. Nguyen Van Cuong expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Korea for showing interest and creating opportunities for VNMH to implement this project. In past years, VNMH has cooperated with many agencies and museums in Korea and achieved many good results in archeology, exhibition, and research. At present, the VNMH is receiving many foreign visitors, including Koreans. However, the service for foreign visitors is still limited due to lack of auto guide equipment and lack of visiting Korean language guides. This project, if implemented, will surely attract more Korean visitors to the museum and understand more about the culture, history and people of Vietnam.

After the meeting, the both sides agreed to draft and sign a Memorandum of Cooperation.
