On the morning of June 16, 2018, a delegation of Guangxi Department of Culture (China) had a meeting and visited the VNMH.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of the VNMH, were Mr. Nguyen Van Ha - Deputy Director and managers of the Exhibition Department and the International Cooperation Department. The delegation of Guangxi Department of Culture (China) comprised the Directors and Deputy Directors from different institutions like Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum, Guangxi Museum of Nature, Guangxi Institute for the Conservation of Literature and Archaeological Research, Guangxi Center for Researching Science and Library and Guangxi Museum of Ethnology.

At the meeting, Deputy Director Nguyen Van Ha and members of the Guangxi delegation exchanged views on the relationship and cooperation programs of the two sides. Both organizations wish to maintain and further develop the intimate, valuable and long-standing cooperation between the VNMH and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Museum (China).

From 18 May 2019, the exhibition “Treasures of the Red River. Archaeological Collections from the Museums of Vietnam” will be running in the Winter Palace’s Halls of the History of Ancient Writings. It is being timed to mark Ho Chi Minh’s birthday and the days of the city named in his honour.

At the invitation of VNMH’s Director, on June 21, 29018, the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage headed by Mr Sim Young Seop- Head of Underwarter Archaeological Division visited and worked with the VNMH.
