The house structure is quite simple; it includes piles to support the floor, columns to support the roof and columns that were made out of tree branches or small tree trunks. The floor and roofs were also made of branches or small tree trunks. They were fastened to piles and columns with natural ropes tied through dovetail joints or Y-shaped sticks. These pieces of evidence suggest that the people in Bung Thom lived in short stilt houses composed of short columns suitable to the fresh water ecological environment of the time. It also suggests that these houses had small yards.
